Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Location: Godalming, Surrey Hours: Monday?–?Friday, 08:00?–?15:30 Salary: Paid to Scale Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support classroom staff in delivering high-quality education to students aged 5-16. Working within a vibrant school community, you will help create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment. • Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support, reinforcing learning objectives. • Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and playground periods. • Contribute to the development of individualized learning plans and track progress. • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policy. • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies. Essential Criteria • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and adapt to varying classroom needs. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; further qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2) are desirable.
