Axcis Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist college in Bromley, supporting young people with SEND in a range of vocational subjects, including cooking, independent living skills, arts, and community-based learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates from care, support work, childcare, youth work, customer service, or similar backgrounds who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
The Role:
Support learners with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
Assist students during vocational lessons such as cooking, creative arts, and life skills activities.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to encourage engagement and independence.
Help students develop confidence, communication skills, and employability skills.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
A positive, patient, and adaptable attitude.
Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults is desirable.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.
No formal Teaching Assistant qualification required.
