We are seeking a sharp, proactive Key Stage 2 Classroom Assistant to join a bustling, forward-thinking upper KS2 department in Didsbury. This role is perfect for a graduate looking for classroom experience before pursuing a PGCE, or an experienced TA who thrives on the challenge of supporting older primary pupils.
Your Main Responsibilities:
• Assisting the upper KS2 teachers with differentiation, ensuring all pupils can access the lesson.
• Supporting pupils with SATs preparation, running booster groups in math and English.
• Managing classroom behavior effectively using the school’s positive reinforcement policy.
• Supervising pupils during outdoor PE sessions, assemblies, and school trips.
• Pre-marking basic classwork and helping to design vibrant, educational classroom displays.
What We Are Looking For:
• A degree, an education-based qualification, or strong experience working with older children (KS2/KS3).
• Confidence in your own math and English skills to support upper primary concepts (fractions, grammar, etc.).
• A confident, energetic personality that commands respect while remaining approachable.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
