Job Title: Year 5 Teacher (Maternity Cover) Job Location: Middleton, Greater Manchester Contract Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover) Start Date: ASAP End Date: December (subject to change) Salary: £160+ per day (PAYE), depending on experience Work Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Year 5 Teacher to join a vibrant school in Middleton, Greater Manchester. As an educational provider committed to delivering high-quality teaching, we are offering a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional to cover maternity leave with an immediate start until December. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across all subjects to a Year 5 class with a high level of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). - Exhibit outstanding behaviour management skills to handle a challenging classroom environment effectively. - Create an inclusive learning experience that caters to the diverse needs of all pupils. - Plan, prepare and deliver the curriculum as required by the school and national standards. - Mark and assess students' work constructively, providing feedback that supports their academic and personal development. - Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO, and other teachers to implement appropriate strategies for learning support. - Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children. - Maintain a safe and stimulating environment that encourages pupils to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. - Keep up-to-date records of pupil progress and be accountable for their attainment. Essential Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with UK-based teaching experience. - Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching, preferably with Year 5. - Robust knowledge and experience handling a high level of SEND within a classroom setting. - Proven record of strong behaviour management strategies. - Ability to plan and mark across all subjects taught in Year 5. - A current DBS registered with the Update Service.
