Key Responsibilities As a SEND Teacher, you will: • Teach a small Year 7 class within a specialist SEND setting. • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs. • Adapt teaching strategies in line with each student's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). • Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs to achieve their academic and personal goals. • Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where every learner can thrive. • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team. • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and support pupils during this important transition into secondary education. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential). • Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND within a mainstream school, specialist school, alternative provision, or PRU. • A strong understanding of Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs. • Excellent classroom management and communication skills. • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to teaching. • A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping every learner reach their full potential.
