Job Title: Youth Mental Health Support Worker
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the empathy, patience, and resilience to make a real difference in a child’s life? Axcis Education is working in partnership with a school in Keynsham to recruit a Youth Mental Health Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for students with SEMH needs. This is a full-time position, starting ASAP, with the potential to become permanent. Pay is £83.40 per day. • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students who require help managing their emotions and behaviour. • Build trusting relationships with young people, offering encouragement and guidance. • Help students engage with their learning in a way that suits their individual needs. • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. If you are: • Patient, understanding, and emotionally resilient • Able to form strong, supportive relationships with young people • Passionate about helping children with SEMH overcome barriers to learning • A team player who can work closely with school staff Previous experience working with young people in any setting—youth work, care, sports coaching, or mentoring—is valuable but not essential.
