Job Title: 1:1 SEMH Support
Axcis Education are supporting a two-form entry primary school in Bideford who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 student with SEMH and ASD needs. The student is currently reluctant to engage with learning and can present some challenging behaviours at times when they become dysregulated. The school is looking for someone who is patient, calm, and confident in supporting children to regulate their emotions and re-engage with learning in a positive way. Role Details Location: Bideford Start Date: Immediate Hours: 12:50 pm – 2:50 pm every day OR Full days on Thursdays and Fridays (applicant’s choice) Pay: £14–£15 per hour (depending on experience) Ideal Candidate: -Experience or training in supporting children with SEMH needs -Knowledge of strategies to support children when they become dysregulated -A compassionate and proactive approach to behaviour support -Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils This school prides itself on its warm and supportive culture, and you will be joining a friendly, collaborative staff team.
