Classroom Support / Teaching Assistant – Tameside Primary Schools Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester Start Date: After October Half-Term Pay Rate: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing or long-term placements, D2D About the Role: We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Support Staff / Teaching Assistants to join a range of welcoming primary schools across the Tameside area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners while developing your experience within the education sector. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in their learning, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. You’ll help create a positive and engaging classroom environment and ensure that every child can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Your Role Will Involve: • Supporting pupils’ learning across a range of subjects in EYFS, KS1 or KS2. • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management. • Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils who may need additional help (e.g., with SEND, behaviour, or literacy/numeracy skills). • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement. • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. We’re Looking For: • Experience working with children (school-based experience preferred but not essential). • A genuine passion for supporting the education and wellbeing of young people. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude.
