Job Title: Full-time Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Wembley
Axcis Education is thrilled to offer a rewarding opportunity for a committed teaching assistant to join a primary school in Wembley where you’ll make a real difference in the lives of children with SEND. This full-time role, with hours from 8:30 to 3:30, Monday to Friday, offers an umbrella rate starting at £93.48 per day.
In this position, you’ll be working closely with two unique Year 4 boys, each with their own personality—one calm and reserved, the other full of energy. You will play a key role in supporting their individual learning needs by helping them stay focused, reinforcing their understanding of the material and assisting them in accessing their lessons more effectively.
We are looking for a teaching assistant who can create a structured, supportive environment that promotes growth and engagement. Setting clear expectations and maintaining boundaries is crucial, as is being approachable, so the boys feel at ease coming to you for support.
To excel in this role, you should have at least a Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification or a degree in any subject. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effectively working with both students and staff and experience in a SEND environment will be highly valued. A basic understanding of Speech and Language support would be beneficial, though we will provide training to deepen your skills in this area.
At Axcis Education, we believe in supporting our staff so they can give their best to those they help. As a teaching assistant, you’ll have the chance to create a lasting, positive impact, helping these children overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
