Job Title: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
The Role We’re working with a supportive primary school in Trafford seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join their team full-time. This role is focused on supporting children with a range of additional needs, both in-class and 1:1. You’ll be a key part of the classroom team — helping students feel supported and ready to learn. The right person will be patient and proactive, with a solid understanding of how to meet the needs of children with SEND, including conditions like ASD, ADHD and SEMH. Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Supporting children with complex needs within the classroom and sometimes on a 1:1 basis - Helping students stay focused, understand instructions, and complete tasks - Using behaviour and emotional regulation strategies when needed - Building trust and positive relationships with students and staff - Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support - Encouraging independence while providing reassurance and structure What We’re Looking For - This role requires prior experience working with children with additional needs.
