PMLD Teaching Assistant – Special School – Barking & Dagenham From £97/day | Special School | Barking & Dagenham | Immediate Start | Full-Time Axcis are pleased to support a highly regarded special school in Barking & Dagenham, who are looking for a compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. The school supports pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, sensory needs and complex medical requirements. In this role, you will be: • Supporting pupils with communication challenges, sensory needs and medical care requirements. • Assisting with feeding, personal care, mobility and postural management (full training provided). • Using sensory stories, tactile resources and switch-access technology to aid engagement. • Working alongside OTs, physios and teachers to deliver carefully designed individual programmes. • Helping create a safe, joyful and respectful classroom where every pupil is celebrated.
