Position: Primary Teaching Assistant Location: Mainstream Primary School, Widnes Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Contract Type: temp to perm for the right candidate We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a large mainstream primary school in Widnes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive impact on their early learning experience. Key Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lesson plans that promote children's learning and development. Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, helping them with early literacy, numeracy, and social skills. Support children in meeting their personal care needs where required. Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents. Help with classroom management, setting up and tidying activities, and supporting a structured daily routine. Requirements: Previous experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
