Job Title: Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience
Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant (Year 5) – N15 Primary School - MUST BE DEGREE QUALIFIED Axcis Education is seeking a graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide support to a Year 5 student with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This full-time role is based at a primary school in N15, with hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and an ASAP start. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support and lead small group sessions to help manage and improve the student’s behavior and engagement with learning. Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver targeted support, ensuring both academic and emotional needs are met. Participate in extracurricular activities and assist with after-school programs when required. Requirements: Must have a degree (preferably in education, psychology, or a related field). Experience working with children with SEMH or challenging behavior. A strong yet nurturing approach to support students, setting clear boundaries and encouraging positive behavior.
