We’re recruiting a committed Maths Teacher to join our team to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. We welcome applications from experienced colleagues and motivated early-career teachers — full-time or part-time working patterns will be considered. The role You will plan and deliver engaging, high-quality maths lessons that stretch and support pupils across KS3 and KS4. You will contribute to department planning, assessment and pupil progress tracking, and play an active part in the wider life of the school. Key responsibilities -Plan, prepare and deliver effective maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE specification experience desirable). -Set and assess work, track pupil progress and use assessment to inform future planning. -Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND. -Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour for learning. -Contribute to curriculum development, department meetings and whole-school initiatives. -Support exam preparation and intervention for pupils working towards GCSEs. -Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and uphold safeguarding expectations. Essential -Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — essential. -Strong subject knowledge in secondary mathematics and familiarity with GCSE requirements. -Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (or demonstrable ability to teach both Key Stages). -Excellent classroom practice with a commitment to high standards and inclusion. -Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively within a department and across the school. -Prepared to be proactive, reflective and student-centred in practice. Desirable -Experience with intervention strategies and data-driven progress tracking. -Experience of adapting lessons for pupils with additional needs. -Participation in or commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
