Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Learning Mentor to join our team in Wandsworth, London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and fostering a positive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualised support to students, implementing tailored strategies to enhance their social, emotional, and academic development.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a holistic support system for students.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting on outcomes.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting positive behavior and emotional wellbeing.
• Deliver group and one-on-one interventions focused on emotional regulation, resilience, and self-esteem.
Qualifications:
• Relevant experience in an educational or support role, specifically with SEMH students.
• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
