Job Title: SEMH teacher - Team Teach
Job Opportunity: SEMH Teacher (KS3)

Pay Rate: £200+ per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent position following an 8-week trial period
Axcis Education is recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teacher to join a specialized SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Oldham. This role is ideal for a resilient and passionate teacher who is skilled in working with students who present SEMH needs in a challenging environment.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for teaching at KS3.
Team Teach Trained: Required for effective behavior management and safety.
Experience in SEMH or PRU Settings: Must have UK-based experience in SEMH schools or Pupil Referral Units (PRU).
DBS on the Update Service: Current and valid DBS is essential.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a small class of up to 10 KS3 students (ages 11-14), each with unique social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Each class is supported by a minimum of 2 support staff, allowing for a focused, individualized approach. You will play a critical role in developing positive relationships, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, and helping students to develop both academically and socially.
