Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Highbridge, Somerset Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday Duration: ASAP until at least October half term Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications We are looking for a Teacher or experienced SEND practitioner to join a specialist school in Highbridge, supporting young people with autism and complex additional needs. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys building relationships with pupils and adapting their approach to meet individual needs. Rather than focusing on one particular subject or age group, you will act as a tutor/facilitator, supporting learning across a range of subjects and activities. The Role: Full-time, Monday–Friday Supporting pupils across a range of ages and abilities Facilitating learning across different subjects Working within a small-group, specialist SEND environment Building positive relationships and supporting pupils' engagement, confidence and independence Adapting lessons and activities to meet individual needs We’re Looking For: - A qualified teacher or someone with previous experience teaching or supporting learning within a SEND setting - Experience working with autism and/or complex additional needs is desirable - A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach - Confidence managing varied learning needs and adapting to different situations - Someone who is enthusiastic about helping young people engage with education An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, although candidates who are willing to obtain a new DBS will also be considered.
