Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newham, supporting a pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children with Autism and be confident providing individualised support with learning, communication and emotional regulation. PECS and Makaton knowledge would be highly desirable. We are looking for someone who: Has proven experience working with children with Autism/SEND. Is confident providing 1:1 support in a primary school setting. Is patient, caring and consistent. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Can build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil. Is reliable and committed to the role.
