Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Frome Setting: All-through SEND School Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday Pay: £14.25 – £14.50 per hour Axcis Education is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a well-established all-through specialist SEND school in Frome. This is a full-time Monday to Friday role supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs in a highly supportive and structured school environment. The school caters for children and young people with learning support needs, autism and complex needs, with a strong focus on communication, independence and personalised learning. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to pupils who require tailored support to access education. What the Teaching Assistant role involves: • Working as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs across an all-through school • Providing 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching Assistant across a variety of subjects and activities • Supporting pupils to access learning and stay engaged throughout the school day as a Teaching Assistant • Assisting with routines transitions and consistency across the school day as a Teaching Assistant • Encouraging communication confidence and independence as a Teaching Assistant • Working closely with teachers and support staff as a Teaching Assistant to meet individual needs • Helping maintain a calm consistent and positive learning environment as a Teaching Assistant • Monitoring progress and feeding back observations as a Teaching Assistant What we are looking for in a Teaching Assistant: • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a SEND setting is desirable • A calm patient and consistent approach as a Teaching Assistant • Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team as a Teaching Assistant • Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs as a Teaching Assistant • A proactive flexible and supportive attitude as a Teaching Assistant • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people in education as a Teaching Assistant Apply today with Axcis Education to be considered for this Teaching Assistant role in Frome.
