Job Title: Team Teach Trained Support Assistants – SEMH School (Failsworth, Oldham)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Axcis is currently seeking skilled, compassionate Team Teach trained Support Assistants to join our team at an SEMH school in Failsworth, Oldham.
Position Details:
Role: Support Assistant (Team Teach Trained)
Location: SEMH School, Failsworth, Oldham
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm, Multiple Positions Available
About the Role: In this challenging and rewarding role, you will support students with a range of SEMH needs, including Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Domestic Abuse, and PTSD. Many of the students have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) or are in the process of obtaining one. Daily tasks include managing challenging behaviors rooted in complex underlying needs, providing structure, guidance, and a safe learning environment.
Requirements:
Team Teach Certification (within the last 3 years)
Experience working with young people who present challenging behaviors
Compassion, resilience, and commitment to supporting SEMH students
