Job Title: 1:1 SEMH TA (KS3)

Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a female KS3 pupil with SEMH and complex needs at a wonderful mainstream secondary school in Teignbridge.
This is a full-time position - starting as soon as possible - and will require someone who can build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil. For this position, having PIPS training is essential. The working hours are 8.30-3.10 and the rate of pay will be between £95-£110 a day, depending on previous experience and qualifications. This is a full time positions starting as soon as possible.
The student is new to the school, and this role will be crucial in supporting her transition and ensuring she feels safe, understood, and ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide 1:1 support for the pupil throughout the school day
-Work collaboratively with the school’s SEND provision team to implement alternative provision plans
-Help the pupil regulate emotions, remain engaged, and access learning
-Use your initiative and creativity to respond to challenging situations calmly and effectively
Requirements:
-PIPS training is essential
-Experience supporting young people with SEMH and/or complex needs
-Ability to stay calm under pressure and engage students positively
-A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach
