Are you a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) ready to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth (SW17) is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with SEND. This is a full-time role and a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and prior experience supporting children with special educational needs.
The Role:
• 1:1 support for a Year 6 student with specific SEND needs.
• Deliver tailored support in class and during interventions.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals.
• Help prepare the student for a smooth transition to secondary school.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally in an upper KS2 setting.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships and adapt to individual needs.
• A patient, empathetic, and committed approach to inclusive education.
