Job Title: Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Camden is seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with autism across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2. Deliver tailored support to help children access the curriculum and develop social, communication and life skills. Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Liaise closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals to provide consistent support. Support pupils with personal care needs, including toileting and hygiene, in a respectful and sensitive manner. Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children with autism in an educational setting (essential). A patient, compassionate and proactive approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
