Hands-On Learning: Support students both in and out of the classroom, including during creative lessons, group activities, and practical learning. Insight into SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities): Learn how to support students with a wide range of needs – from autism to social-emotional difficulties. A Stepping Stone Into Teaching or Further Study: Perfect for anyone considering teacher training, PGCEs, or further qualifications in education or psychology. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with learning, communication, and social skills. Assisting teachers during lessons, helping to adapt activities to meet individual needs. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using inclusive, supportive approaches. Helping students engage with creative and outdoor-based learning activities. Supporting non-verbal learners or those with communication needs using methods like Makaton or visual aids (training provided!). Who We're Looking For: Graduates from any discipline – education, psychology, sociology, English, science, and more! Someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a meaningful impact. Experience with children or young people (formally or informally) is beneficial – think tutoring, youth work, camps, care, coaching, etc. A team player with good communication skills and a calm, patient nature.
