Job Title: Learning Coach
Axcis Education are seeking Learning Coaches in Cardiff. We are working alongside a sixth form college whom are seeking Teaching Assistant Cover, supporting 14–16-year-olds enrolled in the Junior Apprenticeship programme. Often covering both short-term and longer placements, you'll help create a positive learning environment for vulnerable learners referred from schools across Cardiff and the Vale. Key Responsibilities include: Provide teaching assistant cover across varied durations—from day-to-day to extended coverage. Support learners working toward Level 1 and Level 2 vocational qualifications, alongside GCSEs in Maths and English. Assist those identified as at risk or vulnerable, fostering a safe, encouraging learning environment. Collaborate with the learning support team to address diverse additional learning needs. Work across multiple vocational pathways such as Hair & Beauty, Catering & Hospitality, Multi-Trades (Plumbing, Construction, Automotive), Health & Social Care, and Digital Creative as part of the Junior Apprenticeship programme. You should be resilient, able to maintain composure and effectiveness in dynamic or challenging classroom settings, and dedicated to helping learners achieve their potential.
