Job Title: Part-Time SEND Teacher – All-Through Special School Location: Sutton Hours: Wednesday to Friday, Full School Day, Term Time Only Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent, Part-Time About the School A friendly and inclusive all-through special school in Sutton is looking for a passionate SEND Teacher to join their supportive team. The school educates pupils aged 4–19 with complex medical needs, physical disabilities, and a wide range of SEND. The Role This part-time role (Wednesday to Friday) is perfect for a dedicated teacher who wants to make a real difference by delivering tailored education to pupils with complex needs. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support each pupil’s academic progress, wellbeing, and independence. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for pupils with SEND and complex medical needs. Collaborate with therapists, healthcare professionals, and support staff to meet pupils’ holistic needs. Develop, implement, and monitor individual education and behaviour support plans. Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. Communicate regularly with families to share progress and support. Who We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE (minimum) is essential. Experience teaching pupils with SEND, especially those with complex medical or physical needs. Strong knowledge of SEND education frameworks and personalised learning. Empathetic, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
