Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, London
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September 2025 (Full Academic Year)
Role Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Axcis Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Special School in Ealing this September. This is a full-time role for the entire academic year, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, including personal care.
The Special School ages you will supporting will be between 4-18 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD
-Assist with personal care routines (toileting, feeding, hygiene)
-Support students in accessing a broad, engaging, and adapted curriculum
-Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement IEPs
-Monitor progress and contribute to student development plans
-Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
-Experience working with PMLD students
-Comfortable and confident with personal care duties
-Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain)
-Reliable, patient, and passionate about SEN support
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service
Desirable:
-Relevant TA or SEN qualification
Prior experience in a special school or SEN setting
