Axcis Education is supporting a local hospital within Birmingham which hare looking for a qualified teacher to ensure that children and young people who are going through extremely difficult circumstances relating to their health still have access to an education. The hospital’s main priority of course is the individual’s health, however they are also very aware that just because these children and young people cannot get into school shouldn’t mean missing out on their education. The hospital therefore has teachers, with and without subject specialisms, going onto the ward to deliver tailored sessions. This is going to be a role that could take an emotional toll as the children and young people you will work with will have very serious health concerns, having said this, for just this reason it will also be one of the most rewarding roles to take on.
