Job Title: SEND Teacher
We’re working with an exceptional independent specialist day school in Windsor that is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher.
This school offers much more than just education. With a highly individualised approach, pupils benefit from integrated therapeutic support alongside their academic learning. The team’s commitment to both wellbeing and achievement creates an environment where children with complex needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours can truly thrive.
The school takes pride in working closely with parents and carers, recognising that strong partnerships are key to understanding and meeting the needs of each learner. Their broad, flexible curriculum is designed to be personalised — ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed and grow, not only in the classroom but also socially and emotionally.
The role:
• Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons across a broad and creative curriculum.
• Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff and leaders to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and their families to support progress and wellbeing.
• Creating a nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe, respected and inspired.
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold UK QTS.
• Have experience teaching in a SEND or alternative provision setting (though applications from mainstream teachers with a genuine passion for SEND are very welcome).
• Be creative, resilient and adaptable, with a strong belief in the potential of every child.
• Enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and value collaboration.
What the school can offer:
• A supportive, close-knit team environment.
• Ongoing professional development and training in SEND and therapeutic approaches.
• A role that is rewarding, impactful and full of variety.
