In this role you will be supporting children on both a 1-1 and group basis within the classroom and assisting them in accessing the curriculum to the best of their ability. The schools require a knowledge and understanding of working with special educational needs, however this does not necessarily need to be with children. What you will need: • An enhanced DBS certificate – if not, we can assist with applying for one. • A minimum of 6 months working with SEND, in an education or care setting (3 months must be in the UK for overseas candidates) or have experience in a relevant field such as law enforcement, military, psychology or drama. • A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs. • Able to reliably commute within the Wigan area.
