Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant | Wigan area | from £89 per day | Full-time and Part-time
Are you ready to embark on the next step in your career? Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with SEND in the Wigan area?
Axcis are an education agency that are currently recruiting SEND teaching assistants to support children and young people with special educational needs across the Wigan area.
In this role you will be supporting children on both a 1-1 and group basis within the classroom and assisting them in accessing the curriculum to the best of their ability. The schools require a knowledge and understanding of working with special educational needs, however this does not necessarily need to be with children.
What we offer:
• Flexibility to suit your needs - Full-time and Part-time opportunities are available.
• Daily rates starting from £89 per day.
• A range of training courses through the national college for CPD
The ideal candidate would have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs within a classroom setting, although any work supporting children or additional needs will be considered.
What you will need:
• An enhanced DBS certificate – if not, we can assist with applying for one.
• A minimum of 6 months working with SEND, in an education or care setting (3 months must be in the UK for overseas candidates) or have experience in a relevant field such as law enforcement, military, psychology or drama.
• A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
• Able to reliably commute within the Wigan area.
Whether you are looking for a new experience or this is just a step towards your career development, Axcis are waiting to help you.
