Job Title: Teacher
Full-time | Long-term | Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) | Manchester
Pay rate: £130–£180 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a qualified Maths Teacher who’s passionate about supporting young people outside of mainstream education?
We’re looking for a resilient and empathetic Maths Teacher to work in a Manchester PRU, teaching KS4 students with SEMH, ADHD, and behavioural needs. Class sizes are small, behaviour can be challenging, but the positive impact you can make is huge.
The role includes:
- Delivering Maths to small groups (GCSE and Functional Skills level)
- Building strong, respectful relationships with pupils
- Working closely with the pastoral and behaviour support team
- Using creative approaches to keep students engaged and motivated
What we’re looking for in a Maths Teacher:
- QTS (or equivalent) with experience teaching secondary Maths
- Confident, consistent behaviour management skills
- Passion for making a difference to young people who’ve struggled in mainstream education
- A collaborative, team-player mindset – support is key in this setting
