Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role where you can make a genuine difference every day?
We are currently looking for a caring, resilient and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join an all-age special school in Slough from 5th October. This is a Monday to Friday role, offering £92.63 per day and the opportunity to work with pupils across a wide range of ages and additional needs.
The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), complex needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. No two days are likely to be the same, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is passionate about helping pupils reach their potential.
As a SEND TA, you will provide hands-on support both in the classroom and throughout the school day. You will work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication and independence, manage sensory or behavioural needs and take part in a range of activities. Building positive relationships with pupils will be at the heart of the role, while helping to create a safe, calm and inclusive environment.
Personal care experience is essential for this position. You will be expected to confidently support pupils with their individual personal care needs, which may include toileting, changing, feeding and other aspects of daily care.
We are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate and confident when working with pupils with complex and additional needs. Previous experience in a SEND setting is highly desirable, particularly experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs. Most importantly, you should be reliable, adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting children and young people.
With a Monday to Friday schedule, a daily rate of £92.63 and a start date of 5th October, this is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated SEND TA looking for a long-term role in a specialist school.
If you have SEND experience, personal care experience and are ready to take on a rewarding new challenge in Slough, we would love to hear from you.
