Job Title: Youth Mental Health Support in School
Are you someone who genuinely cares about young people’s mental health and wellbeing? We’re looking for a warm, motivated individual to join a supportive, local school community in Keynsham as a full time Teaching Assistant—initially on a 16 week settling in basis, with the role becoming permanent thereafter.
The role in brief:
• Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30?am to 3:30?pm
• Pay: £13.70 per hour
• Start: ASAP
• Focus: Supporting Key Stage?4 students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
Why this school stands out
• Recently praised by Ofsted as “Good” across the board—from quality of education and pupil attitudes to personal development and leadership?
• A calm, orderly environment where students feel safe and relationships with staff are strong?
• An ambitious and inclusive ethos that champions a broad new curriculum and encourages students to discover their remarkable potential?
Who we're looking for
We don’t need someone with years of experience—more important is the right character and attitude. If you're local (or nearby), perhaps a graduate, youth worker, sports coach, former teaching assistant or support worker, and you want work that makes a real difference to vulnerable young people—you could be exactly who we need.
You’ll bring kindness, patience, flexibility and genuine emotional intelligence. You’ll enjoy helping students feel seen, heard and supported as they work through their challenges.
