We are seeking a dedicated ADHD Teacher to join our dynamic team at a welcoming school located in Sutton, London. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning and behavior in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of students with ADHD.
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies to enhance focus, organization, and academic success.
- Foster a structured and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and social interactions.
- Collaborate with parents, school psychologists, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet their evolving needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices for teaching students with ADHD.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Special education experience, specifically with ADHD, is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to promote a culture of respect and learning.
