Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Hours: Monday-Friday, Full-time, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Pay: Competitive, paid to scale We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Wandsworth, London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners with varied and complex needs. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and make effective progress. - Work under the direction of the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing learning environment. - Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). - Facilitate small group and one-to-one sessions to reinforce learning objectives. - Monitor and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. - Support students in developing social skills and promoting independence. - Assist with the management of classroom behavior and maintaining a calm atmosphere.
