Location: Wandsworth, London
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary: Paid to scale
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving and inclusive school in Wandsworth, London. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting children with additional learning needs and a passion for helping pupils succeed both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students to aid their academic and social development
• Support the implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs) and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role (minimum 1–2 years)
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse needs
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
