Learning Support Assistant – Autism & SEMH – Tower Hamlets From £92/day | Secondary | Tower Hamlets | September Start | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are recruiting for a secondary school in Tower Hamlets who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their SEND department. The school has a strong track record of supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly autism and SEMH, and has been praised by Ofsted for its inclusive ethos. Located close to Tube, Overground and bus routes, the school is easily accessible. In this role, you will be: • Supporting KS3 and KS4 students with autism and SEMH in the classroom and through small interventions. • Encouraging emotional regulation, focus and positive social interactions. • Assisting teachers with adapted resources and lesson strategies. • Working closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and external agencies. What we’re looking for: • Experience supporting students with autism, SEMH or behaviour challenges. • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. • A proactive, team-oriented approach. • Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
