Job Title: Long-term Primary Teaching Assistant, Smethwick
Do you have a passion for supporting young people with SEND needs? We are seeking a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 3 student in a mainstream primary school in Smethwick. This role is working on a 1-to-1 basis, with a caring child who struggles to engage with their peers but will form a good bond with staff given time and a patient approach. • This role will be working Monday to Friday, for a minimum of the end of academic year 2025/26, ending July 2026, with the possibility to be extended or permanent moving forward • You will be paid a week in arrears, based on a PAYE daily rate starting from £89 per day • To be able to work during the hours of 8:30 & 15:30 during term time only To be considered you will need the following: • Experience supporting individuals with SEND needs from educational settings or from transferrable experiences such as residential, support or care work • An enhanced DBS or a willingness to work with Axcis to obtain one • A dedicated, understanding approach and a keenness to learn as the successful applicant will be working with the long-standing SENCo to ensure we are matching the learning & development needs of the student.
