Job Title: Personal Care Assistant
Axcis Education is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join a special needs school in Oldham. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, with a daily rate of £89.
The Role
This is not a classroom-based position. You will be working in pairs to provide personal care support for students with profound disabilities, including physical disabilities and autism. Duties will include:
Assisting with toileting
Using a hoist and other manual handling equipment (training/experience beneficial)
Supporting students with dignity, respect, and professionalism
Requirements
Experience of working in a similar role within health care or education (minimum 12 months)
Knowledge of hoisting and manual handling (qualification desirable)
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Ability to provide an accurate CV covering the last 10 years, with start and end dates in MM/YYYY format
