Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
School Type: Mainstream Primary School
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Trafford. This full-time role is ideal for someone who brings energy, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in the classroom.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting both class teachers and pupils directly across a range of year groups, depending on the needs of the school. You will work closely with teaching staff to help deliver a positive and supportive learning environment. A strong understanding of how to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential, as you may be required to work with pupils who have a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties and social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
Experience in a UK primary school setting is required for this position, and we are particularly looking for candidates who have supported children with additional learning needs either in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. Your role will involve helping to adapt tasks, encouraging engagement, and ensuring that all children feel included and supported in their learning.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or you must be willing to apply for one as part of the recruitment process. This is a full-time, term-time position and would suit someone who is looking to develop their skills further within a supportive school environment.
In return, you'll receive access to free professional development, including over 180 accredited courses via the National College, once registered with us. You'll also have the support of a dedicated team who are passionate about placing the right people in the right settings.
