Location: Partington, M31 Setting: Mainstream Primary School Start Date: Immediate and rolling starts available Contract Type: Full-time, Term length Pay: Up to £104 per day, depending on experience Are you an experienced primary teaching assistant with a background in UK classrooms? Confident, proactive, and ready to make a real difference in a lively, rewarding environment? We’re working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Partington (M31) seeking a General TA to support a class of around 30 children. You’ll be based in one classroom, working closely with the teacher to support learning, manage behaviour, and help keep things running smoothly day to day. Why this role? - You're part of the team – Not a floater, not 1:1. You’re in the classroom and part of the core teaching support. - Behaviour matters – You must feel confident around challenging behaviour and know how to stay calm and consistent when things get noisy. - SEN-aware – An interest in SEN (and experience if you have it) will be a big plus, as some pupils may need extra support. - Training included – Access to CPD-accredited courses to grow your skills while you work. What we're looking for: - UK classroom experience (essential – no exceptions) - A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one - Strong behaviour management skills and a calm presence - Able to work with the class teacher to support learning across the whole group - Reliable, flexible and genuinely enjoys working with primary-aged children Nice to have: - Background or training in SEN support - Based locally or able to easily commute to Partington This is an agency-based role offering flexibility, support, and the opportunity to build long-term school relationships without the commitment of a permanent contract (unless that’s what you’re aiming for). Apply today if you're ready to bring energy, patience and practical classroom experience to a team that truly values their support staff.
