Job Title: Qualified Learning Mentor, Primary SEMH
Qualified Learning Mentor, Primary and KS3 SEMH
Axcis Education is working with a Primary looking to fill a vacancy for a SEND learning mentor. The perfect candidate will be well-experienced in supporting with pupils whom display challenging behaviours due to their lived experiences; this position is for an SEMH specific school in East Birmingham, catering to children and young males aged 5 to 14 years.
Job details:
• Support role for Primary and/or KS3 aged pupils (5-14 years)
• Full time hours (8:15am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Ongoing basis with the potential to turn permanent
• Strong behaviour management skills
Requirements
• Level 2 Learning Mentor / Teaching Assistant qualification - Desirable
• Experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviours – Essential
• Experience of working with pupils with SEMH needs/lived experiences - Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required - Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references - Essential
This is a temporary position which could turn into a permanent role and is for an ASAP start.
