Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs/disabilities (SEND) Axcis Education is expanding our team of specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils in mainstream Secondary schools across Salford and Greater Manchester. We are looking for staff who are confident in supporting KS3&KS4 students in mainstream settings. Working in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2015), you will: • Use evidence-based resources such as Boxall profile or Zones of regulation • Help implement and review behaviour support plans • Be aware of strategies such as emotion coaching and social stories • Support emotional regulation and develop pupils’ social skills • Work closely with class teachers, resource manager and external professionals • Create a safe and supportive environment where pupils can thrive • Help track progress and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) You’ll work in an inclusive and supportive mainstream Secondary school, as in class support but also offer 1:1 and group work.
