Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support (Primary Specialist Provision) Location: Bournemouth Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Daily Rate: £89 – £95 Contract: Temp to Perm Are you a resilient and motivated TA looking for a role where you can make a real difference every single day? We’re seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary specialist provision in Bournemouth, supporting pupils with SEMH needs. This is a fantastic temp to perm opportunity, giving you the chance to secure a long-term role in an Outstanding school where staff are valued and supported. The role: Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils feel calm, engaged, and ready to learn. Use strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver personalised support plans. Build strong, trusting relationships so pupils feel safe and understood. Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where children can thrive. We’re looking for: Experience or genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH/ASC/ADHD. A calm, patient and proactive approach, with plenty of resilience. Strong communication skills and a team player mindset. A commitment to helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and self-belief. Previous experience in specialist or therapeutic settings is a bonus, but not essential – full training provided.
