SEN TA – Secondary PRU – Barking & Dagenham From £94/day | Secondary PRU | Barking & Dagenham | Immediate/September Start | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are recruiting for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Barking & Dagenham who are looking for a resilient Teaching Assistant to support their KS3 and KS4 provision. The school provides small-group learning for students with SEMH and behaviour needs, focusing on re-engagement, resilience and pathways back into mainstream education. The school has excellent leadership, restorative behaviour systems, and is accessible via the District Line with free parking on-site. In this role, you will be: • Supporting secondary pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour in a PRU environment. • Providing 1:1 and small group support, focusing on academic and emotional progress. • Assisting with behaviour management and restorative interventions. • Encouraging students to develop resilience and positive social skills. What we’re looking for: • Previous experience in PRU, SEMH or behaviour-focused roles. • Strong de-escalation and behaviour management strategies. • Calm, consistent and professional approach under pressure. • Resilience, empathy and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
