Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil in Coventry with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN). This full-time role is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for helping children build confidence in their language development.
The Role:
You will:
• Deliver speech and language interventions under guidance of the class teacher and SALT.
• Encourage communication and peer interaction during lessons and play.
• Use PECS, Makaton, and visual supports to aid expressive/receptive language.
• Provide feedback to staff and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Support the pupil both academically and socially in the classroom.
About You:
• Experience supporting children with speech and language needs.
• Clear communicator with excellent verbal and non-verbal skills.
• Knowledge of phonics and early language development.
• Patient, engaging, and proactive in supporting communication.
