SEN Teaching Assistant – KS1 Autism Support – Tower Hamlets From £89/day | Primary | Tower Hamlets | September Start | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are working with a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets who are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with autism. The school has a strong reputation for inclusion, with a supportive leadership team and an Ofsted rating of Good. Located just a short walk from the DLR and local bus routes, it’s well connected for staff across East London. In this role, you will be: • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with autism, focusing on communication and classroom engagement. • Using visual schedules, sensory tools and structured routines to promote independence. • Encouraging positive social interactions and building confidence. • Working with the teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored strategies aligned with EHCP outcomes. What we’re looking for: • Experience supporting children with autism or other SEND. • Patience, creativity and a nurturing approach. • Ability to work closely with teachers and external specialists. • A proactive team player with a genuine passion for inclusion.
