Are you ready for a role where your kindness, energy and commitment truly matter? We’re seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a Cheltenham special school, supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and other complex needs.
Role details:
You will support students in accessing learning, communication, daily routines, sensory and therapeutic activities, and promote wellbeing, engagement and inclusion
About the school:
The school is part of a Gloucestershire trust and specialises in educating children and young people with moderate to more complex needs. It currently supports up to 156 pupils with complex special educational needs and disabilities. While many students have moderate learning difficulties, over time it has expanded to admit young people with additional and more complex needs.
The school emphasises holistic, creative and therapeutic approaches, including speech, language & communication, occupational therapy, emotional wellbeing and individual interventions. The school values relational practice, strong relationships and emotional safety as core elements of its ethos. It has retained a strong reputation in the local area and is considered an outstanding choice for specialist provision.

Maybe you’re a recent graduate, a care assistant, youth worker, support worker or previous TA — and you’re ready for something deeply impactful.
You’ll bring:
• Respect, compassion, patience and an inclusive mindset
• Confidence to work with pupils who have high needs and complex behaviours
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Openness to learn and adapt in a specialist environment
