Job Title: SENDCo
About the Role:
Axcis Education is looking for an experienced and inspiring SENDCo to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Newham. This long-term leadership role offers the chance to shape and drive the school’s SEND provision, ensuring every child thrives in an inclusive environment.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the SEND department and manage provision across the school
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support teachers with strategies to meet the needs of SEND students
Work closely with parents, external agencies, and local authorities
Track and monitor pupil progress, reporting to school leadership
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience as a SENDCo or significant SEND leadership experience
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, assessment, and interventions
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passion for inclusive education and helping every child succeed
