Location: Reading
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: From £89 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We’re working with a specialist all-age SEND school in Reading who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). No two days are the same—this role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, challenge and the chance to make a lasting impact.
Your Role
• Support pupils in lessons, adapting activities to help them access learning.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Respond to challenging behaviour with patience, resilience and empathy.
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage independence, communication and social skills.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other staff to provide tailored support.

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential).
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally.
• A caring, flexible and positive attitude.
• Willingness to provide personal care support when needed.
